Nashi Argan

Wednesday, February 10, 2016

Hello lovelies,

Let me present you hair care brand this time, but first, let me tell you something about my hair.

I have very long, thick and stubborn hair. For most of the people, it looks amazing. I get compliments on my shiny, natural and healthy hair every time I go to the hairstylist. But what it feels like on my head is totally different from being amazing. I do confess, my hair is really healthy, and I have never had issues with drinking pills to make it grow, or extra nourishing, since it grows like crazy, without even trying too hard. But I leave that to genetics, as all of my sisters, and my mom have the thickest hair and never had trouble with hair loss. But, I'm telling you, my hair is so thick, stubborn, curly and bushlike, that I wish to have it cut, almost every time I wash it. And I do wash it quite often. It takes me half an hour in the bathroom, which for me, is just too much. I am talking about washing and combing only. When it comes to styling, it takes one hour at least. It is curly, therefore, whenever I want polished curls, I need to straighten it first, and then curl it. As I do not want to damage my hair using heat almost every day, I leave it just like it is. And it looks horrible. Like a bush on my head. I have never had it dyed, so I have naturally black hair. No, not dark brown, but black :)

I have never used fancy shampoos, masks, etc. It was always simple regime, and cheap shampoos.
But, once I tried Nashi Argan, I completely fell in love! My hair is much easier to handle, and I find combing less time consuming. It also made my natural curls look more polished, rather than frizzy looking. You could totally see my excitement on the picture below :D

Sariayu (Martha Tilaar)

Friday, February 5, 2016

If you haven't heard of Martha Tilaar, you should definitely check her out. I wrote about other make up brand named PAC  that Martha Tilaar owns. She is the director and owner of Sariayu cosmetics as well. I will introduce you to some of the products from Sariayu range.

First of all, for those who do not know who Martha Tilaar is, here are some interesting facts:

  • She is Indonesian president and owner of Martha Tilaar Group, that manufactures and distributes makeup and cosmetics. Her cosmetics have been produced in four different factories, employing over 5000 employees, sold mainly in Indonesia, but also in Europe, Africa and North America.
  • Sariayu make up is commited to totally natural beauty care. It offers wide range of products, that are perfect for tropical climate, and they are all made out of natural ingredients, processed by modern technology.
  • It is suitable for warmer climate because of Indonesian women and the place they live in. As they are also modern women, that like make up and take care of their face and body, Sariayu tried to assist those women the best it can.

Although I do not live in that kind of environment, and I do not have the same skin tone as Indonesian women, I find the natural ingredients perfect for my sensitive skin, and all the colors could be used in some way, no matter how pale I am. I could always use the darker colors for some diverse and vibrant make up looks. Make up should be also playful and fun, right? :)

p.s. I haven't tried the products yet, so stay tuned for some make up looks and reviews in the future, using some of my favourites from the collection.
