Drugstore lipsticks

Thursday, January 29, 2015

Hello lovelies,
as a huge fan of lipsticks, I thought to share with you my drugstore collection. I'm not a huge fan of lipgloss, even though I use it from time to time, mostly during spring and summer. But for me, lipstick is crucial beauty product. When a woman is asked about her ultimate must have beauty product, most of them answer-concealer, mascara and foundation. My answer is lipstick. I can go out for days without any make up on, but I would always have a lipstick with me. Lipstick can be worn on its own in a beautiful way, but it can be perfect touch to a full face make up.

Nowadays, wide range of lipsticks is growing so fast, that you just can not decide which one to choose. There are too many great shades from different brands. There are too many great formulas. No more drying lipsticks. We can see that many brands work on the moisturizing ones, but still pigmented enough to be different than lip balm. I'm just crazy about lipsticks, and can not decide if I prefer lipstains, velvet matte or moisturizing ones. Drugstore lipsticks are inexpensive and amazing!
My must have shade is, of course, Red. But I love every shade. You can not expect anything else from make up junkie. From trendy brights, classic nudes, vampy dark purple and burgundy shades, to black ones. I love them all. Now my favourite drugstore lipsticks are by Rimmel, Bourjois and L'oreal. Rimmel ones are so affordable and amazing.

Here is my collection ;)

Avon Ultra Color Indulgence lipsticks

Monday, January 26, 2015

Hello lovelies,
there are a couple of shades from the Avon Ultra Color Indulgence range I want to show you.
This range is new and has got 20 shades. Irina Shayk is chosen for this campaign and it is not the first time. I do not use a lot of Avon products, but the ones I use are amazing. Super quality and affordable prices.

Color range is great, since you have 2o shades as mentioned. The texture is really creamy and smooth. You have the feeling of a lip balm on your lips, not of a lipstick. Therefore, the pigmentation is a little bit sheer, but that doesn't matter really. I'm a fan of sheer lipsticks, especially during summer. You can pop them on, without a mirror, and touch up whenever you want to, without the feeling of overdone look on your lips. These lipsticks would be perfect for spring and summer, but I'm loving them even now, during winter. It doesn't dry my lips at all. However, you need to reapply the lipstick if you want the pigmentation to last on your lips. As they are very creamy, soft and balm like, two or three coats would be fine, if you want to get the shade you see in that bullet. There is no reason not to use it straight from the bullet, as the lip brush would take ages to get the vibrancy of color. I didn't use lip brush or lip pencil at all. Only a few layers of each lipstick, straight from the bullet.

Skincare routine

Wednesday, January 21, 2015

Hello lovelies,

it's been a while since I posted about skincare products. Not much has changed, that's why I didn't post about new skincare products.

When it comes to make up, I have to confess, as much as I adore putting my make up on, I don't wear it everyday, just because I feel that my skin can not bear the weight of it. Although the process of putting make up on is always fun and filled with joy, make up removal is always the opposite. And if you are a perfectionist like me, well, it may take you a while to clean it afterwards. I do not do harsh contour, American styled eyebrows, those you see on Instagram. I'm more sophisticated and natural obsessed girl. If you watch Lisa Eldridge, you will know what I'm talking about.
To cut the story short, even though I do not put make up everyday, I have to stick to the skin regime or my skin will go nuts. Trust me, I have tried skipping the routine, and it didn't work. If I'm on plane, or have to travel long distance, I have to carry a bag full of skincare products, otherwise, my skin will react crazily.
I got it used to the perfectly clean environment, and I have to maintain that level of hygiene or the skin will break out.

I do not put layers of foundation on, just on the areas where needed. Even in that case, I double cleanse the skin.
Of course, I do that very gently.
My skin is sensitive and combination.
I do not have dry patches, but sometimes dehydrated. T-zone is slightly oily. I can not use products full of parabens, alcohol, perfumes, etc. It reacts immediately.
So, after years of searching the perfect products for my skin, I ended up mostly on Avene, Bioderma and Dr. Hauschka . Dr.Hauschka is amazing and what's the most important thing, the ingredients in the products are natural and are formulated to support the skin's biology to achieve balanced and radiant complexion.

So, here are all the products I'm using. Of course, in rotation, and not at the same time. Some of the products are rarely used, just in the special occasions, and some of them are used regularly.

This is what my skincare routine looks like:

Morning

Cleansing

1. I cleanse the skin with Avene Clean-Ac Cleansing Cream which is so gentle, and it doesn't dry your skin. Sometimes with that sometimes with Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream, which is not a scrub or anything like that. You just press it on the skin with your fingers, and then rinse it.

Toning
2. For toning, I use Dr.Hauschka Clarifying Toner. It's so refreshing. I leave it for a couple of seconds to dry and then pat what's left on the skin with gentle pressing.

Moisturizing/Hydrating
3. After toning, or sometimes just spraying thermal water, I use a couple of drops of Clarifying Day Oil which normalizes the oil production on T-zone, and leaves the dehydrated patches nourished. Instead of that, I sometimes use Melissa Day Cream or Bioderma Sebium Global. If my skin is feelinf really dehydrated I rarely use Avon  Anew Nutri-Advance. Underneath Make-up, I sometimes use  L'oreal Magic Blur.
For the udereye area, I use Dr. Hauschka Daily Hydrating Cream or very light one by Balea. My eyes become red when someone near is smoking, or mascara is not good for my sensitive eyes, so I can not live without Visine eye drops.

Evening

I do not like to put creams during night, simply because I feel my skin needs to breathe. Sometimes I put Cleanance K creme gel, which is amazing one. It's the one you use at night, and not only it hydrates it also exfoliates your skin during night. Most of the time I put a little bit of coconut oil on the lips and that's it.

Deep Cleanse

For deep cleanse which I do once or twice a week, I use face masks. The steam bath from Dr Hauschka saved my life. You use it before the deep cleanse to open the pores and make the mask penetrate deeper. I use Clay mask twice a week. And once a week I use revitalizing mask and the one I make myself which consists of lemon juice and baking soda.

For massages I use Clinique take the day off balm

Make up removal

Bioderma H20 and Eucerin Dermato Clean Micellar Water are great for removing your make up.

Covered by Roses

Thursday, January 15, 2015

Hello lovelies,
I've wanted to do photoshoot with this blue dress long time ago, since I only wore it live, two years ago, in Slovenia. Since then I have been collecting red roses to make a crown. I didn't have enough red roses to do so.

The combination of red and blue is definitely one of my faves. Luckily, I can still fit into the dress, as it's in size xs, and I gained a little bit of weight :D

I didn't wore any jewelry  because the effect of the crown and vibrant blue is effective enough. I kept make up super simple and as natural as possible. Minimal on eyes, and bold on lips. Hair took me a little bit longer, since my hair is so thick and wavy. I had to smooth the waves section by section for a long time, but I love the result.

Happy Holidays

Sunday, January 4, 2015

Hello lovelies,
I hope you are having great time! Wishing you Happy New Year and Holidays!

I want you to step out from your comfort zone if you want to live fully in the following year :)
I will go home for a couple of days, spend some time with my family and friends, and do some sightseeing at the mountains.

So, blogging will be postponed during that time ;)
