Masquerade

Hello lovelies,

as I promised, here is the second part of my previous festive holiday blog post. I will not talk about the inspiration behind the outfit this time, but the mask.

As you may have read in my previous post, I wrote about the lingerie and stage clothes, and now I want to talk about the masks. 

I am obsessed with lace masks, and anything that is connected to masquerade dances. Even one of my ultimate favourite movies is connected to the masquerade ball and costumes. It is Phantom of the Opera. I just love that movie and everything about it. The fact that it is a musical and that it contains masquerade ball scenes and amazing costumes is enough to buy me.

There is something so exciting and mysterious about wearing a mask, especially in the combination with corsets and gowns. 

There is also a short story named The Masque of the Red Death, by Edgar Allan Poe (also one of my favourite writers), that contains masquerade ball.

There you go, my short introduction about my passion for costumes and masks. Now it is time to show it through pictures.

Holiday Extravagance

this shoot is inspired by a lot of the things, including my approach to all of the inspiration mixed together.  I wanted to make a post that will include make-up for holidays, and sexy, yet elegant outfit. All of it combined, with the touch of ladylike 50's look (This cone bra corset-bodysuit, by Jean Paul Gaultier is actually inspired by 1950s bullet bras and 80s underwear-outwear).

I love lingerie in general, and I am a little bit obsessed by lacy bras and corsets.  When it comes to fashion, this is my ultimate favourite look, that defines me as a person. I like extravagant stage clothes, and Jean Paul Gaultier!

This shoot has this bunny modern look, that is cool for holidays. Wearing this kind of outfit is daring for sure, since it shows your body and whole figure. You have to bare in mind that being sexy, but tasteful sexy, really depends on the person. How you wear it and how it suits you. It really has to suit you, otherwise, you will look vulgar.

once again, Angelica wears tulle skirt. I have a bunch of older posts of me wearing tulle skirts, and I have to confess that I'm obsessed with them. The more layered the better. This time, I received the burgundy one, which is asymmetrical. It's shorter on the front side and a little bit longer on the back. I could not wait to show it in an outfit post, so I wore it underneath the coat. I don't like layering loads of stuff underneath the coat, so I chose to wear corset underneath the skirt. It could go just right with the simple jumper.
I can not wait to wear it during spring, with some high heel sandals or stilettos.

I have already showed you Catrice/Essence New In, in my previous post. Some of the products that are still left to be shown are presented in the pictures below. This is the classic look that I wear often. No need to talk about red lips, as I have mentioned the story about red/bold lips a thousand times.

Quick, Easy & Affordable Make up Look

I know that a lot of us do not have enough time to do make up in the morning, so for most of you, putting a foundation, mascara or even lipstick is quite on the go, running through the house. To be honest, even though make up is my passion, most of the time I do not wear it. My skin prefers to be naked, and it feels much better, healthier and fresher without it. But sometimes I take my time, and give myself a real treat, making the looks perfect and polished. I enjoy it really.
But, when I am in a rush, and want to wear make up, I put mascara and sometimes smudge some eyeshadow close to the lashline. That is the look I have done for you in this post, using only Catrice and Essence products.
Catrice and Essence products are really affordable, and have amazing quality products for a drugstore brand.

This make up look is natural looking, but still has that smokey feeling. It's suttle smokey which any eyeshape or color could wear.

Ovo će biti malo drugačiji post nego ste navikli, i predstavlja moju želju da kažem nešto više o svom blogu i životu iza njega. Outfiti, make up lookovi i saveti će izostati ovoga puta a priča zalazi mnogo dublje od svega što ste imali prilike da vidite na ovom blogu.

Počeću od razloga koji me motivisao da napišem upravo ovakav post.

Prvi i jedini koji ću obrazložiti detaljno je sama blogosfera i mediji koji nameću jednu sasvim drugačiju sliku od onoga šta je zapravo blog, barem za mene.

Slika o blogerima/vlogerima/youtuberima nameće priču djevojke/momka iz bogate porodice koji dobijaju odjeću/make up za dzabe, žive luksuznim životom a pritom se ne bave nikakvim drugim poslovima sa strane, niti znaju šta u stvari full time job znači.

Obzirom da sam dio tog svijeta, i o meni se stvara identična slika, vrijeme je da ispričam koliko je blog za mene jedna velika žrtva. Pokušaću da uljepšam sliku koliko toliko, da ne bih zvučala patetično, jer to je najmanje što želim.

I love shades of Autumn, although black is the king of colors in my closet.

Farmasi New In

this is the first time I have tried Farmasi products, so I bring you the new in pictures and a little review. Although I haven't tried them in the make up looks, I could easily see the advantages and disadvantages only by swatching. Farmasi is Turkish brand that I  have heard of before, but this is the first time to actually use something from their range. I will make some make up posts with my favourite products, so stay tuned if you want to see me creating some looks using Farmasi.

Magic Effects Nail Polish

Hello lovelies,
I received lovely nail polishes from Avon this morning, and thought to share them with you. I'm not a huge fan of glittery nail polish, and I do not have long nails, simply because I can not work in the house with long nails. As I'm kind of a person that cleans the apartment practically everyday, I could not do anything with long nails. I also cook, so it makes my life easier to have short nails. One more thing, I do facial massage quite regularly, so I do not want to scratch my skin.
I didn't have enough time to paint the nails with each of the shade, but I'm sure you will see the color and its opacity on its own.

PAC (Martha Tilaar)

this post is related to beauty and as the post title suggest, it's about make up brand from Indonesia named PAC by Martha Tillar, who is well known in Indonesia.
To be honest I haven't heard of this cosmetic brand before, until a month ago,  when I received beauty box by Prestige Studio. 
I researched more about this brand, and I found out that they are high quality make up brand which perfectly fits Asian women ( you can tell that by the colors down below in my pictures).
PAC supports Indonesian performing plays, movies, soap operas, fashion shows, etc.
They are not animal tested which is great.
I couldn't make any make up look using only PAC products because I'm naturally pale, and do not have an Asian or Indonesian skin tone, but I used some of their products that were suitable for me.

Avon Ultra Color 3D Plumping Lipsticks

in my last post I presented some of the NEW IN stuff I received from Avon. As I have mentioned, my favourite of the new in are lipsticks, so I promised to make a blog post with make up look using 5 different shades of lipsticks.

I usually wear red lip, and that's my everyday make up. As I wear it with mascara and eyeliner sometimes (if I have enough time to do the flick) this time I decided to make some effort and do a little bit bolder eye look. I didn't have enough time to do proper eye make up look for ages. It was mainly mascara and eyeliner in some occasions. During whole summer, and my vacation, I didn't even use mascara. So I really missed smokey eyes, and fake lashes. Therefore, my look for today is soft smokey eye, with golden shimmers and browns, paired with different shades of lipstick.

Avon newbies

here are a couple of products from Avon, that I recently received. There are some really nice stuff such as lipsticks. I'm always keen on a good lipstick. If you ask a woman about her must have make up product, most of them answer mascara, concealer or foundation. Mine is lipstick. Although I'm not wearing the lipstick all the time, I'll always choose some nice shade of lipstick, if I decide to put some make up, and I already feel done :D

So here they are. Not fully tested but there are a couple of my faves, although I haven't wore them outside, except from swatching on my hands.

A pop of yellow

here are the pictures I should have posted much before, since they are taken a couple of weeks ago. But, I went on my vacation, and didn't take my laptop with me, so the blog post was postponed. As soon as I came back to Sarajevo I selected the pictures for the post ;)
This is totally unplanned photoshoot with my friend photographer called Nina. We know eachother for a very long time. As a matter of fact, we met as soon as we came to Sarajevo, during our beginning of studying. I was modelling for her when she was beginning in photography, and since then we work together on different projects.
She contacted me to do the make up on one of the models for the shoot. I was planning to go home after I finish my work, because I was tired, so I didn't do any special make up on myself, or wore something interesting to make a post. But as Nina brought the lovely yellow dress for the model during the shoot, I fell in love with it and suggested that Nina could take pictures of me wearing the dress outside. So I quickly put red lipstick on, and we finished the shoot in 15 minutes. It was quick and unplanned, but the dress needed to be photographed.

So here is the result ;)

here are a couple of pictures from my latest trip to Žabljak. I'm in love with Black Lake. This place must be visited at least once a year, so I always make posts whenever I go there. Hiking is something I can not live without, and it brings me peace and joy. It's been a part of my life since early childhood, and I consider it the greatest inspiration of all time.

Summer's joy

as you may have seen on my Instagram, I've been posting some pictures from my holiday in Montenegro, Budva. I needed that vacation desperately, as I was not feeling at my best. Due to the lack of sleep, and all the duties, I needed some rest. I am now in my hometown, and I really had a great time at Budva. Short vacation, but enough to recharge my batteries. Now, let's go back to being busy. I already have to get up really early tomorrow, as I will be doing make up for my friend's wedding.
As a photography junkie, I had to make a couple of shoots. Photography is a way to express myself, and I have an eye for smallest details. I'm freaking perfectionist so I catch up everything around me, and try to capture everything I possibly can. It takes a lot of patience and time, but I will do anything to make a good photo. It's like a personal journal to me.
Although I need better camera and lenses, and I'm planning to buy new ones for quite a long time, I try to make the best out of my equipment. I try hard, believe me ;)
Now, let me show you my vacation in pictures ;)
I didn't take any make up with me, except a couple of lip pencils. As a make up artist that is quite strange, but I just didn't want to bring any make up. My skin needed rest as well as my soul ;) Hats and dresses took all the space :P
Sun protection was a must, and a pale girl like me needed nothing less than 50 + UVA/UVB. I still got a little bit of tan, maybe 2 shades darker, when it comes to foundation color range. I didn't get burned, or anything like that, as I was taking care of my skin properly.

Burgundy is typical choice for autumn, bright and pastels are everywhere during spring/summer. But I decided to make some room for muted burgundy, although it's summer. The model of the dress is perfect for summer, the material as well. I got it as a present and I immediately fell in love. It's got petar pan collar which makes it look so girly and sweet.

Classic

I've been wearing stripes for as long as I can remember, and I think they will never go out of style. Summer is perfect for this particular print. I'm a little bit obsessed by the stripes, I confess :D You can wear them in many different ways, and I recommend you crop tops with striped skirts ;)

This is my go to outfit, and you can see me wearing this a lot, since it's so me, yet comfy.

since summer is here, I wanted to do some bright colored make up. I also had in mind to do an outfit post with this gorgeous lace dress, and I thought it would be great combination of summer outfit and make up, but not matching it. I wanted to do something that will be in contrast of this dress. I am not a big fan of doing the same make up everytime, although I have my favourite looks. But make up for me is pushing the boundaries of comfortable zone, and stepping into something daring and extravagant. I knew that this dress would look amazing with red lips and eyeliner, but instead, I chose some mint green smudgy kohl and neutral lips.

this post is all about the royal blue high-waisted midi skirt. It so reminds me of Ulyana Sergeenko. It just screams her name :) You know how much I love all that she's done so far.

I adore royal blue color and surprise, surprise, red/blue combo one more time.

Sorry about the light on the pictures, as it differs on almost each picture. It's because the weather was so unpredictable that day that it changed a billion times in a minute. So, we had to embrace what we were given. Shooting at sunny, rainy, cloudy day, you name it. :)

I'm pretty sure you've seen me wearing this dress before, but I thought it would be nice to make some pictures at the mountain. I was in a huge rush that day that I just made some pictures with the phone basically while running down the streets. And as the night was falling the only time left for taking pictures was right before the sunset on the beautiful meadow at the mountain. As I went there straight from the city, I didn't change the clothes, but I took sporting clothes with me of course. It was much colder than in the city, but luckily, I finished posing very quickly.

Dandelions&Blues

I've been absent from blogging as I went home for a couple of days. Whenever I go home I try to take the opportunity and go outside as much as possible, visiting the villages around and going to the mountains. A little bit of fresh air is something I really missed, since winter in Sarajevo lasted too long, bringing all the dirt and pollution around.
Luckily, summer is getting near, and I'm really happy about it, since it is my favourite season. I didn't miss the chance to visit all the beautiful nature surroundings but I didn't bring anything but sneakers and one pair of my everyday heels. Luckily I had some clothes still left in my wardrobe at home, and I combined what I had at that moment. The weather that days was awful. I decided to have a walk with my friends and make a blog post but the weather tried to stop me. When I got out and made a couple of shots, the weather was still nice, and a little bit windy, but soon after the rain started pouring on us, and we had to hide. When the rain stopped, the weather changed from sunny and windy to gloomy and dark, Therefore, the pictures are a little bit different in lighting. I didn't took enough shots for a post and I had to take a little bit more to complete the outfit post, using different mode on camera, so you can see the slight difference between a couple of pictures.

As a huge fan of musicals, I had to recreate the iconic look of Sally Bowles. I have mentioned it a couple of times before, while writing about the history of make-up, that one of my favourite eras are the Roaring Twenties. I have studied it as a part of my faculty course, and I got into it even more, while researching the books from that period. From fashion, to the culture in general. I love musicals the most for two main reasons, music and make-up. It's the combination of the two things I adore. I can sing the songs as well as recreate the make up. It's the mixture of theatrical fashion, make-up, music, dance. Everything I enjoy.
 Indeed, there is something special about musicals that I find so attractive and connected to my personality. Sally Bowles is a charming, beautiful lady, eccentric, and to a degree, pretentious. But she is also innocent and childlike. That appeal is something I can relate to. Liza Minnelli is certainly the best performer of that role. She performed the role of her lifetime, making the character recognizable by her own style and iconic look.
I tried to make everything as similar as possible. I didn't want to change my face shape or something like that, but adapt it. I wanted it to look as natural as possible, but still representative of that look. I find it the most challenging thing. You can draw on your face, make drag queen looks, and look like somebody else. The truth is, I hate that. I appreciate when someone recreates iconic looks by adapting it to the face, making it look real and natural as possible.

Hello lovelies,

this post will be about healthy lifestyle I am really keen on. I've been into this kind of regime for years, with slight changes, and I'm into it 100%.

I love baking and cooking, which is a plus for those who want to take care of everything they get into their bellies. Cooking is my passion, and I find it connected to my artistic side.

Not only I prepare the food I eat, most of the time, but I really take care where I buy the products and I check out every ingredient. I do yoga and pilates at home, and that makes me take care of my diet even more.

I do not drink alcohol nor smoke, lucky me :) It's not something I resist doing, but something I enjoy. I enjoy my lifestyle, and there's nothing that I hate more than alcohol and cigarettes.

The money I save on those things, I spend on clothes, make up and healthy food :)

So, these are the facts I think some of you may find helpful, since I got a lot of e-mails with requests on my diet regime.

Dream in Pastels

Spring is coming our ways, and I can' be more excited. I love sun, flowers, pastel colors. This post is inspired by the beautiful cardigan I bought ages ago. It's in wonderful nude pink shade, with lovely ruffles. I wore it only a couple of times, and didn't have the chance to make post with it. I was looking for perfect flower crown in pink pastels, but I couldn't find the one, so I made it. 

The night before, I made this flower crown, using separate roses which I can use later for some other things I planned. Make up was super simple and quick. I used only BB cream, since I wanted my skin to be as bare as possible. A little bit of pinky eyeshadow, paired with sheer pink lipstick. I do not wear pink blush that much, as you could see from my previous make up looks. I'm keen on peachy bronzed look, but pink blush was inevitable for this particular look.

Hello March

Hello lovelies,
March is officially here and it finally brought some sunshine. I wore this outfit when it was sunny and lovely, and I was able to take off my jacket without freezing to death. I can't describe how much I love Summer and sunny days, so I'm really looking forward to lovely Spring and warmer days.
The outfit is simple and cozy, nothing too fancy :) Something I wear day to night.
Make up was neutral and simple as well.

here's the make up look I've done a few days ago. I love smokey eye, and I adore blue color in every shade, so I decided to do blue smokey eye and pair it with some leather. Leather clothes is something I feel comfortable in and it feels so ''me''. I've always loved that rock chic sexy look. I adore lace paired with leather, so I combined the skirt which has lovely lace details with the lacy bra.

Echoes of the Night

here's a little bit different blog post, no street style outfits, but the one inspired by Greek Goddesses. I have been making similar posts before, and I'm sure you saw my mythology inspired photoshoots. This one in particular is inspired by Greek Goddess-Nyx. The godddess of the night and darkness. Now, the dress I'm wearing here is the one  I wore live with The Loudest Silence. There is a whole story behind the dress and I'll tell you some minor details about it. I had the choreography along with ballerina dancers and opera singer who were representing the good. Among their army were the angels, in our case, ballerinas, and among my army, were the band members and the choir. I was evil queen, wearing this Maleficent inspired gown.
Since I love Greek Mythology, I thought it would be nice to wear this dress once again, which will perfectly fit the Nyx profile.
I didn't plan the make up at all, it was done spontaneously.
