Hello lovelies,

as you all may know, I am addicted to smoothies.
I make them regularly, and I really like to experiment with different ingredients all the time.
I discovered some new brands that I really want to share with you as I am in love with the variations of smoothies I can make now.
It is about the brand Aduna.

Skincare & make up update

Monday, December 5, 2016

Hello lovelies,

this blog post is dedicated to some of my favourite skincare products as well as foundations and concealers. Some of them, I have been using for ages, and some of them are pretty much new in my routine.

I have always had such a roller coaster journey when it comes to my skin, and I still have troubles with taking care of it. My skin is ( as I like to say) the worst type of them all. It is combination to oily, plus, it is hypersensitive. When you have combination/oily skin, you use strong products, to maintain your sebum production, and keep your skin looking healthy, but at the same time, get rid of the ugly shine, because of the overproduction of sebum. If you want to make sure that your skin does not break out (because of the overproduction of the sebum) you also want to make sure that is stays hydrated, and your skin should not be over dried by the harsh ingredients. On the top of everything, if your skin reacts to everything, it makes it super hard not to get breakouts. When I say everything, I mean everything. Even to the air you breathe, and the dust in the house. That is why I am obsessed with cleaning and making sure that everything is always so sanitized.
I am taking care of my skin as much as possible, and I do not skip my routine ever. If I am travelling and I have to skip my routine, my skin will get bumpy and red all over the face. So, I pay attention to the cleansing the most. I use drugstore make up, almost everything I use is drugstore, but when it comes to skincare, I do not regret my money. I would spend a fortune on the skincare, as no foundation can replace healthy looking skin.

So, I always use Micellar Water to remove my make up. First, I take of the fake lashes, and liquid lipsticks with amazing Garnier oily make up remover. It takes off the long lasting and stubborn lipsticks. For my skin on the rest of the face, I use Bioderma one, because it is perfect for my sensitive skin. I never react to it. After I cleanse my face with Micellar Waters, I wash it ( sometimes I do double washing) with the Murad Soothing Gel Cleanser. It is wonderful for my sensitive skin. I never feel discomfort or tightness after washing my face. After cleansing it with water, I spritz a little bit of the Murad Hydrating Toner.

NASHI Filler Therapy

NUTRA EFFECTS BODY LOTIONS

Wednesday, September 7, 2016

Hello lovelies,

in this post I want to present you some of the brand new products by Avon. They have launched Nutra Effects body products.
If you have used their Nutra Effects face creams or BB creams, I am sure you will love these products as well.

There are two products in this range and I am really loving both of them.

Nutra Effects range is well known for its active seed complex, and they are super nourishing for dry and sensitive skin.

The two of the products in this range are:

  • Intensive repair (with flax and marula seed) restoring body lotion
  • Ultimate moisture (with chia seed) daily body lotion

The first one is for very dry skin, and the second one is for normal to dry skin.
My skin is not dry by any means, so I prefer the second one. I have oily skin on my face, and my body is normal to dry. But rarely dry.

If you have very dry skin, the intensive repair one will be perfect choice.

These lotions come in a very lovely packaging! I am a big sucker for a nice packaging and design, so I loved them at first because of the packaging.
They smell really fresh, not too strong. If you used their face creams, from the same range, you will definitely love the smell of these lotions as well.
I never use body lotions, only body oils in spray. My skin do not like rich body lotions, it does not absorb it very quickly, and every lotion I have tried, clogged my pores on the skin, and it became allergic to it, even after the first use. So, I found out some nourishing oils, and ever since, I spray a little bit of it on my skin, and that's it. But after I tried these ones, they felt light, and my skin absorbed them really quickly. I prefer the one for normal skin.

  • 250ml
  • suitable for sensitive skin
  • hypoallergenic
  • allergy tested
  • paraben and dyes free

BUCKWHEAT BREAD

Friday, September 2, 2016

Hello lovelies,

here's another recipe I decided to share with you.
I am not a massive fan of bread, nor do I eat it regularly. I try to avoid it as much as possible, unless I bake it myself. Then, I'm 100% sure what goes in my belly. I only bake healthy versions of pancakes and bread, and I love the taste of it!

This recipe is easy and quick to make.
I baked it in a mini loaf pan, and I prefer it that way. Because I do not eat bread a lot, I do not want to bake big bread, waste the ingredients, and then throw the half of it away.

This way, the bread is gone within a day or two (if you share it with others it will definitely be gone within a day)

I have found some healthy ingredients and I will not change the recipe until I discover something new and healthy as well. I like it this way, and I hope that you will try this recipe as well :)

You will need:

  • Bio baking powder (gluten free, vegan)
  • 100-200 ml of water
  • 250 grams of buckwheat flour (gluten free, wheat free)
  • Handful of cranberries, goji berries and raisins
  • Half a teaspoon of sea salt
  • A teaspoon of honey
  • A teaspoon of coconut oil
  • One egg
Mix the dry ingredients in one bowl. Mix the liquid ingredients in the separate bowl and slowly add the liquid mixture into the dry one. Mix all together so you get nice blended mixture. Spray your mini loaf pan with coconut oil and bake it at 250C for 30 minutes.

You can eat it with your favourite jam, or with melted chocolate on top. It tastes amazing.

Shine & Glow

Monday, August 8, 2016

Hello lovelies,

it has been a while since I made the post as a make up tutorial using drugstore make up only.

Check out my previous posts, similar to this one. I am sure you will find some inspiration for creating the look using drugstore products. You can find them HERE and HERE!

This look is spring/summer inspired. The previous ones are more autumnal.
So if you like fresh looking make up with shiny and vibrant lips this post is definitely for you :)

For this look I used only Catrice make up. The look is really easy, quick and affordable. I think that anyone can recreate it, and what is more important, it will suit anyone.

If you want to know how I achieved this look, please continue reading :)

I love crepes

Wednesday, August 3, 2016

Hello lovelies,

if you read my recent blog post about buckwheat crepes recipe, you will definitely love these ones even more.

In fact, the recipes are almost the same, except the toppings, which are not only the fruit and honey.

I find these crepes the best thing in the world when I am craving something sweet, but still want to eat healthy. As a matter of fact I don't even remember eating 'the white flour and milk' ones for ages.
I discovered this stevia line hazelnut spread which is way better than nutella, and guess what, it's healthy!
You can always use dark chocolate as well. I use it quite often, and mix it with coconut cream to get better taste.

The only negative side of making crepes is lack of time. It makes me avoid this recipe, but whenever I have one or two hours to spare, I choose crepes.

The dishwashing and cleaning of the mess afterwards is negative side as well, but hey, if you enjoy cooking and baking, it's worth it! Plus you know what you put in your belly. It's healthy and nutritious.

I'd rather spend a couple of hours preparing the meal at home, than treating my body like a trash can and filling it with fast food.

For this recipe you will need:

  • 1 egg
  • 500 ml of coconut milk
  • 300 g of buckwheat flour
  • coconut oil
  • hazelnut spread (stevialine)
  • some fruit (I used raspberries)

When it comes to toppings, as I have mentioned you can use dark chocolate, and lots of berries. Any fruit you fancy really! If you want to make it extra sweet (but healthy) you can use honey, agave syrup or maple syrup.

But let's be honest, whatever you choose, it's going to taste delicious!

Nashi Argan After Sun

Sunday, July 3, 2016

Hello lovelies,

I wrote about hair care in some of my previous posts, and I introduced you to the Nashi Argan brand. I will not write about history of this particular brand, as you can find all the information in the older post.

Let me tell you just one more thing about Nashi Argan: I thought new products will be in the same range with the regular one. When I discovered Nashi Argan for the first time I was blown away. I thought, the After Sun will not be as fascinating, but I was wrong! I was blown away once again!

I can not imagine summer without these After Sun products.
They saved my pale skin, that is for sure.

Buckwheat Crepes

Wednesday, June 1, 2016

Hello lovelies,

some of my favourite French street food are crepes. Since I eat healthy I made my own version of classic and popular crepes. My healthy version is even more tasty than the original one.
I will show you only the sweet option, but as I made a lot of these, I kept them in the fridge and used them for lunch the next day. I made them with spinach and tomatoes, and they were delicious. I didn't have enough time to take pictures of the salty ones, since I spent almost an hour taking pictures of the sweet ones.
I made around 20 crepes, and it took me more than one hour (plus the dish washing and cleaning). It is not the most enjoyable food to make, but if you are someone that is passionate about cooking you will enjoy it anyway.

For this healthy crepes recipe you will need only four ingredients:

  • coconut milk
  • coconut oil
  • one egg
  • buckwheat flour

For the dressing you may use whatever you want. I used a little bit of honey, together with strawberries and bananas. You can use blueberries, raspberries, or any other fruit you prefer. For the salty ones, you can use various vegetables, together with cheese.

Try this recipe, it's super healthy and super yummy!

Healthy Bounty Bars

Tuesday, May 31, 2016

Hello lovelies,

I am really sorry for not posting during May, but my schedule is being full and tight during the whole May; I felt the need to write here but I just didn't have enough time. I need more sleep and some rest so apologize for being absent, but it is for a reason.

I showed you on my Instagram coconut and dark chocolate deliciousness, and promised to write the recipe here, so here it is.  Better late than never ;)

I am obsessed with coconut. I love the smell, I love the taste, and I just love everything about coconuts. Since I eat really healthy, I wanted to make something sweet and tasty but super healthy, so I decided to make bounties.

Hooraaaay!

If you love coconut and sweets this recipe is perfect for you! It is healthy and super tasty and you know exactly what goes into the bars, unlike the commercial version of bounties, that are filled with sugar and diary products.
You will be amazed that these homemade bounty bars taste better than the ones you buy at the stores. The only thing is that they take a little bit more time to prepare, in my case about three hours. But I am not lazy when it comes to cooking healthy meals.

Juice up

Sunday, March 13, 2016

Hello lovelies,

some of you that follow me on Instagram may have noticed that I post many pictures of healthy food, especially smoothies. I usually start my day with smoothie, so I make them quite often. I try to make different ones each time, depending on the fruit or vegetable I have at that particular moment. I also make fresh juices quite regularly, so here is the recipe of one of my favourite combination of fruit and vegetables.

I mixed carrots, apples and beetroot.

I will give you some of the reasons why you should start making beetroot juice!

  • Beetroot is really good source of potassium, Vitamin C, fiber and antioxidans
  • Beetroot juice prevents signs of aging, as well as reducing pigmentation
  • It improves stamina
  • It helps prevent cancer
  • It reduces inflammation
  • It boosts hemoglobin levels
  • It helps in detoxification
  • It helps body to respond better to exercise

What I like to do, is keep the juice in a glass jar, in a fridge, so I can drink it the next morning. I put a little bit of ginger sometimes, it tastes great! I pre-wash everything and cut it in half so my juicer will do the job easily.

The amount of vegetables and fruit I used in the pictures below make 4 glasses of juice.

Nashi Argan Face&Body

Tuesday, March 1, 2016

Hello lovelies,
I introduced Nashi Argan in one of my previous posts, which included their hair range.
This time it will be face&body review.

As you all may know Nashi Argan brand uses organic Argan Oil, and can only be found only in professional hair salons.
Argan Oil is precious and rare for its particularly long and labour-intensive manual extraction process: 40kg of fruit, from the Argania Spinosa tree are required to make just one litre of oil. It has been known for centuries among the Berber people of Morocco for its cosmetic, medicinal and nutritional properties. Scientific studies have revealed that this oil, rich in high concentrations of Unsaturated Fatty Acids, Linoleic Acid and Vitamin E, can stimulate vital cell functions, nourishing and moisturizing.

Nashi Argan

Wednesday, February 10, 2016

Hello lovelies,

Let me present you hair care brand this time, but first, let me tell you something about my hair.

I have very long, thick and stubborn hair. For most of the people, it looks amazing. I get compliments on my shiny, natural and healthy hair every time I go to the hairstylist. But what it feels like on my head is totally different from being amazing. I do confess, my hair is really healthy, and I have never had issues with drinking pills to make it grow, or extra nourishing, since it grows like crazy, without even trying too hard. But I leave that to genetics, as all of my sisters, and my mom have the thickest hair and never had trouble with hair loss. But, I'm telling you, my hair is so thick, stubborn, curly and bushlike, that I wish to have it cut, almost every time I wash it. And I do wash it quite often. It takes me half an hour in the bathroom, which for me, is just too much. I am talking about washing and combing only. When it comes to styling, it takes one hour at least. It is curly, therefore, whenever I want polished curls, I need to straighten it first, and then curl it. As I do not want to damage my hair using heat almost every day, I leave it just like it is. And it looks horrible. Like a bush on my head. I have never had it dyed, so I have naturally black hair. No, not dark brown, but black :)

I have never used fancy shampoos, masks, etc. It was always simple regime, and cheap shampoos.
But, once I tried Nashi Argan, I completely fell in love! My hair is much easier to handle, and I find combing less time consuming. It also made my natural curls look more polished, rather than frizzy looking. You could totally see my excitement on the picture below :D

All about elegance

Sariayu (Martha Tilaar)

Friday, February 5, 2016

If you haven't heard of Martha Tilaar, you should definitely check her out. I wrote about other make up brand named PAC  that Martha Tilaar owns. She is the director and owner of Sariayu cosmetics as well. I will introduce you to some of the products from Sariayu range.

First of all, for those who do not know who Martha Tilaar is, here are some interesting facts:

  • She is Indonesian president and owner of Martha Tilaar Group, that manufactures and distributes makeup and cosmetics. Her cosmetics have been produced in four different factories, employing over 5000 employees, sold mainly in Indonesia, but also in Europe, Africa and North America.
  • Sariayu make up is commited to totally natural beauty care. It offers wide range of products, that are perfect for tropical climate, and they are all made out of natural ingredients, processed by modern technology.
  • It is suitable for warmer climate because of Indonesian women and the place they live in. As they are also modern women, that like make up and take care of their face and body, Sariayu tried to assist those women the best it can.

Although I do not live in that kind of environment, and I do not have the same skin tone as Indonesian women, I find the natural ingredients perfect for my sensitive skin, and all the colors could be used in some way, no matter how pale I am. I could always use the darker colors for some diverse and vibrant make up looks. Make up should be also playful and fun, right? :)

p.s. I haven't tried the products yet, so stay tuned for some make up looks and reviews in the future, using some of my favourites from the collection.

Avon Matte Lipsticks

Wednesday, January 27, 2016

Hello lovelies,
I have recently posted picture on my Instagram of new matte lipsticks from Avon, and I promised to make swatches and review about them, so here you go.

I have tried them on only while doing shoot and swatches, so I can not guarantee that they will last a long time on your lips. I will have to wear them outside for a couple of hours to tell about their lasting performance :)

First of all, full name of these brand new lipsticks by Avon is True Color Perfectly Matte Lipsticks. There are fifteen shades in total, so everyone can find the perfect shade.

Packaging is really nice, unlike any other lipstick that I own from Avon. The tube is similar in shape to any other Avon lipstick packaging, but the tube comes in black matte finish, which is really nice.

I really like the shades I got. I think if I were to choose the shades from the whole collection, that I would choose these 4 exactly.

My general opinion about these lipsticks is that they are really creamy for a matte lipstick. When you apply them, they do not have that strange matte feeling. I would say that these are semi mat rather that matte. Except one shade. So, I think that not every shade has the same texture. The dark ones I tried were so creamy, and really hydrating, whereas the nude one was almost patchy. As you could see from the picture, it made my lips look a little bit dry, although, my lips underneath were super hydrated. It is about the finish. This neutral shade has the patchy dry finish, and it is not the one I liked the most.

Unlike some of the matte lipsticks I own, these lipsticks are really easy to remove. They also smell really nice.

Smoothie lover

Monday, January 25, 2016

Hello lovelies,
here is just one random food post. I took a couple of shots of the smoothie I made this morning. I though it would be nice to put the recipe here on blog, as I post a lot of smoothie pictures on my Instagram. Some of you asked me which ingredients I use, so here it is.

Ingredients:

  • Banana
  • Forest fruit
  • Coconut milk
  • Ground flax seed
  • Chia seeds
  • Goji berries
  • Honey
You can use whatever you want in your smoothie. It's up to you. I make different one each time. I do not like sweet smoothies, so I sometimes even skip honey. If the fruit is a little bit bitter, I put only one tablespoon of honey. When it comes to flax seeds and chia seeds, I put around one tablespoon of it. You can also put your chia seeds in the water and leave them around 10 minutes or more, before you put them in the blender.
When it comes to milk, you can use diary milk if you want to, but I do not consume diary products, therefore I always use coconut milk, and sometimes almond milk.

Blend the ingredients together, and there you go.
Perfect healthy breakfast. Refreshing and amazing! I'm totally addicted :)

All that glitters

Thursday, January 14, 2016

Hello lovelies,
I wanted to show you this sequin dress in a blog post, as I didn't have enough pictures from New Year's party. I wore it that night, but, unfortunately, I didn't manage to take pictures during daytime. This time, I decided to do different make up look. Something glittery, and fierce. Cut crease which is quite wearable. Red lips would perfectly match this eye make up, but I decided to make a change this time.

Beauty Shoot

Saturday, January 9, 2016

Hello lovelies,
I forgot to upload the picture and the link of the teaser of the recent short video shoot I did for Avon.
The team actually planned to do the teaser long time ago, but none of us had enough time so it was delayed. The video we did is not make up tutorial, so I don't want you to be mistaken by the video. I didn't do a step by step tutorial, but just a quick intro in the festive make up look you can create using Avon products.
Edvin and I quickly decided to take a couple of shots as well, so here is the result of the test shot. I didn't even plan on posting it here on blog, but I decided to put it anyway.

You can watch the video here ;)

Have a lovely weekend!
