Skincare routine

Wednesday, January 21, 2015

Hello lovelies,

it's been a while since I posted about skincare products. Not much has changed, that's why I didn't post about new skincare products.

When it comes to make up, I have to confess, as much as I adore putting my make up on, I don't wear it everyday, just because I feel that my skin can not bear the weight of it. Although the process of putting make up on is always fun and filled with joy, make up removal is always the opposite. And if you are a perfectionist like me, well, it may take you a while to clean it afterwards. I do not do harsh contour, American styled eyebrows, those you see on Instagram. I'm more sophisticated and natural obsessed girl. If you watch Lisa Eldridge, you will know what I'm talking about.
To cut the story short, even though I do not put make up everyday, I have to stick to the skin regime or my skin will go nuts. Trust me, I have tried skipping the routine, and it didn't work. If I'm on plane, or have to travel long distance, I have to carry a bag full of skincare products, otherwise, my skin will react crazily.
I got it used to the perfectly clean environment, and I have to maintain that level of hygiene or the skin will break out.

I do not put layers of foundation on, just on the areas where needed. Even in that case, I double cleanse the skin.
Of course, I do that very gently.
My skin is sensitive and combination.
I do not have dry patches, but sometimes dehydrated. T-zone is slightly oily. I can not use products full of parabens, alcohol, perfumes, etc. It reacts immediately.
So, after years of searching the perfect products for my skin, I ended up mostly on Avene, Bioderma and Dr. Hauschka . Dr.Hauschka is amazing and what's the most important thing, the ingredients in the products are natural and are formulated to support the skin's biology to achieve balanced and radiant complexion.

So, here are all the products I'm using. Of course, in rotation, and not at the same time. Some of the products are rarely used, just in the special occasions, and some of them are used regularly.

This is what my skincare routine looks like:

Morning

Cleansing

1. I cleanse the skin with Avene Clean-Ac Cleansing Cream which is so gentle, and it doesn't dry your skin. Sometimes with that sometimes with Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream, which is not a scrub or anything like that. You just press it on the skin with your fingers, and then rinse it.

Toning
2. For toning, I use Dr.Hauschka Clarifying Toner. It's so refreshing. I leave it for a couple of seconds to dry and then pat what's left on the skin with gentle pressing.

Moisturizing/Hydrating
3. After toning, or sometimes just spraying thermal water, I use a couple of drops of Clarifying Day Oil which normalizes the oil production on T-zone, and leaves the dehydrated patches nourished. Instead of that, I sometimes use Melissa Day Cream or Bioderma Sebium Global. If my skin is feelinf really dehydrated I rarely use Avon  Anew Nutri-Advance. Underneath Make-up, I sometimes use  L'oreal Magic Blur.
For the udereye area, I use Dr. Hauschka Daily Hydrating Cream or very light one by Balea. My eyes become red when someone near is smoking, or mascara is not good for my sensitive eyes, so I can not live without Visine eye drops.

Evening

I do not like to put creams during night, simply because I feel my skin needs to breathe. Sometimes I put Cleanance K creme gel, which is amazing one. It's the one you use at night, and not only it hydrates it also exfoliates your skin during night. Most of the time I put a little bit of coconut oil on the lips and that's it.

Deep Cleanse

For deep cleanse which I do once or twice a week, I use face masks. The steam bath from Dr Hauschka saved my life. You use it before the deep cleanse to open the pores and make the mask penetrate deeper. I use Clay mask twice a week. And once a week I use revitalizing mask and the one I make myself which consists of lemon juice and baking soda.

For massages I use Clinique take the day off balm

Make up removal

Bioderma H20 and Eucerin Dermato Clean Micellar Water are great for removing your make up.

In the shower, besides shower scrubs and gels, I sometimes use these Lush babes.

That's all
I hope it was helpful ;)
