Tuesday, June 13, 2017

Hello lovelies,

those of you who follow me on Instagram, probably saw my Insta stories, where I recorded as much as possible of the Pupa Milano conference. I was invited to be a model at the conference, where official make up artist of Pupa Federico Lucci was doing my make up. He did 2 main looks on me, and changed my lipstick color a couple of times during the conference. I bring you some of the pictures, so you can see how he did my make up, step by step.

The conference took place at the amazing place, with such a nice interior details.

Come to the Cabaret

Tuesday, April 14, 2015

As a huge fan of musicals, I had to recreate the iconic look of Sally Bowles. I have mentioned it a couple of times before, while writing about the history of make-up, that one of my favourite eras are the Roaring Twenties. I have studied it as a part of my faculty course, and I got into it even more, while researching the books from that period. From fashion, to the culture in general. I love musicals the most for two main reasons, music and make-up. It's the combination of the two things I adore. I can sing the songs as well as recreate the make up. It's the mixture of theatrical fashion, make-up, music, dance. Everything I enjoy.
Indeed, there is something special about musicals that I find so attractive and connected to my personality. Sally Bowles is a charming, beautiful lady, eccentric, and to a degree, pretentious. But she is also innocent and childlike. That appeal is something I can relate to. Liza Minnelli is certainly the best performer of that role. She performed the role of her lifetime, making the character recognizable by her own style and iconic look.
I tried to make everything as similar as possible. I didn't want to change my face shape or something like that, but adapt it. I wanted it to look as natural as possible, but still representative of that look. I find it the most challenging thing. You can draw on your face, make drag queen looks, and look like somebody else. The truth is, I hate that. I appreciate when someone recreates iconic looks by adapting it to the face, making it look real and natural as possible.

Echoes of the Night

Thursday, February 5, 2015

Hello lovelies,
here's a little bit different blog post, no street style outfits, but the one inspired by Greek Goddesses. I have been making similar posts before, and I'm sure you saw my mythology inspired photoshoots. This one in particular is inspired by Greek Goddess-Nyx. The godddess of the night and darkness. Now, the dress I'm wearing here is the one  I wore live with The Loudest Silence. There is a whole story behind the dress and I'll tell you some minor details about it. I had the choreography along with ballerina dancers and opera singer who were representing the good. Among their army were the angels, in our case, ballerinas, and among my army, were the band members and the choir. I was evil queen, wearing this Maleficent inspired gown.
Since I love Greek Mythology, I thought it would be nice to wear this dress once again, which will perfectly fit the Nyx profile.
I didn't plan the make up at all, it was done spontaneously.
Here are a couple of pictures from the shoot, photographed by Nina Mašić.

Covered by Roses

Thursday, January 15, 2015

Hello lovelies,
I've wanted to do photoshoot with this blue dress long time ago, since I only wore it live, two years ago, in Slovenia. Since then I have been collecting red roses to make a crown. I didn't have enough red roses to do so.

The combination of red and blue is definitely one of my faves. Luckily, I can still fit into the dress, as it's in size xs, and I gained a little bit of weight :D

I didn't wore any jewelry  because the effect of the crown and vibrant blue is effective enough. I kept make up super simple and as natural as possible. Minimal on eyes, and bold on lips. Hair took me a little bit longer, since my hair is so thick and wavy. I had to smooth the waves section by section for a long time, but I love the result.

Smokey mood

Hello lovelies,
here's my recent make up look. Although I'm a huge fan of red lips, I do love nude lips as well, especially in combination with smokey eyes. And when it comes to smokey eyes, you can be creative as hell. But my ultimate favourite combination is definitely golden-black smokey eyes.
The lipstick I'm wearing is L'oreal Colour Riche Star Secrets (Brilliant De Rose-328)

Cleopatra Elizabeth Taylor Halloween look

Monday, November 3, 2014

Hello lovelies,
here is my Halloween look this time. Last year I spent much more time doing my Corpse Bride look, painting myself blue, and it took me ages to remove blue body paint. I painted roses in blue, made a veil, and wore a gown that is way too heavy. So, I decided to do something much more effortless and easier, as I was pretty much exhausted these days. I have wanted to do Cleopatra look for ages, not only for Halloween but just as a make up look, and this was the perfect chance. I love Elizabeth Taylor, and Cleopatra stories. Everything from that Egyptian period of goddesses and make up and hair and dresses, costumes, jewellery. I simply adore it.

So here is my interpretation of Cleopatra.

I didn't have enough time to take pictures of me in a dress and complete outfit, unfortunately. I was in such a rush that I don't know how I took these pictures. Couple of selfies. But I took a picture of a dress I wore that night, and it was perfect for the whole look.
As a huge fan of golden accessories I already had a plenty of jewellery that fits the look, but I also wanted to buy the necklace and bracelets from Bershka which I saw the other day, and immediately fell in love with.

Mysterious elegance.

Hello lovelies,
here are a couple of pictures taken by photographer Nina Mašić, at her studio. We had so much fun, and it was the longest shoot ever. I have posted all of these pictures on facebook, and I'm sure many of you have already seen them ;)
Nina and I have worked numerous times before, and I'm sure you have seen the previous shoots we've done together.
You can check her facebook page here.

As always, behind the scenes picture, not edited at all :)

Maleficent/Halloween look

Thursday, October 31, 2013

Hello there!
This is one of the looks I did for Halloween (this was just a quick and roughly done make up, since it was a test). The entire look, all detailed and perfected will be done tomorrow night (if I don't change my mind, since I've got tons of ideas and costumes to wear).
